A horse of a different color...

While Old Man Winter has temporarily halted our progress on the ranch, Mother Nature has been busy elsewhere in Ola. One of our neighbors raises high-end quarter horses, and called me to come help with the delivery of a foal. By the time I got there the newborn colt, less than an hour old, was still trying to locate the, ah, cafeteria, so to speak. Like all newborns, a nap was in order after he finally finished his meal. To learn more about the horse ranch, go to http://www.flybynightranch.com.
Meanwhile, back at our ranch -
Susan and I have been busy lining up suppliers and subcontractors in anticipation of beginning construction as soon as the snow melts and the mud dries enough to be passable. We realize that spring will be here before we know it, and we want to have all our ducks in a row before then.
