Spring ritual...

Yesterday when I went to the shop, I saw a flock of turkeys on the next hill. I decided to try my hand at turkey calling, with excellent results. About a dozen gobblers headed my way and proceeded to put on quite a show of strutting and gobbling. Later in the day I spotted this bald eagle looking for his dinner along the Payette River.
This is truly a wonderful place.

Finishing up the shop...

While I've been a bit lax on posting to this blog, I've been busy putting the final touches on the shop building. After having Ray Pattan, my electrician, connect the 200 amp service to the panel, I proceeded to wire the shop. With the exception of the bathroom, all the wiring has now been completed. This includes forty-four 120v outlets, all on GFCI circuits, two 240v 30a outlets, two 240v 50a outlets, two reversible, variable speed ceiling fans, one 24" variable speed exhaust fan, one motion sensitive entry light, and sixteen high performance 8 ft. dual bulb fluorescent fixtures. All wiring is 12ga enclosed in 1/2"metal conduit. The 240v 50a wiring is 6-2 wire enclosed in 3/4" metal conduit.
Most importantly, I have installed a 450 watt stereo. Productivity has already shown a sharp increase.
I am in the process of finishing up the bathroom. The framing is up, and I have installed the Armstrong Exelon tile flooring. This is the same tile used in commercial buildings, and is practically indestructible. The exhaust fan and light unit is installed, and I am installing the plumbing. Once that is all done, I will call for inspections of the plumbing and electrical. Keep your fingers crossed!
